A PASSION FOR TEACHING
The idea of Jax Gymnastics began years ago when Jackie was still a competitive gymnast but the vision and reality finally came true in 2020. Teaching runs thick in Jackie's blood. Both her parents are professors and at a young age she knew teaching was what she was meant to do. She was a competitive USAG Level 9 gymnast, a Jr. Olympic All American, a collegiate track & field athlete, and has managed multiple gymnastics locations and coached collegiate athletes at schools such as Clemson and Harvard University. Some of those athletes have gone on to compete in the Olympics and others have become coaches themselves. She loves hearing stories from former athletes and toddlers.
The motivation to open Jax came from pure passion and the need Jackie saw in the community. Being vulnerable and going after your dreams is the name of the game. When it comes down to it, Jax is about YOU. Jax is about family. It is about teaching kids the fundamentals of movement and motivating them to take risks. It is about learning life lessons from falling and getting back up. It is about being kind and giving back. It is about treating others with respect and celebrating differences. Jax is about cartwheels and confidence!
